PURPOSE:To provide an additive for asphalt, which has improved water resistance, high peeling resistance, can prevent asphalt from being cracked by aging and is useful in snowy and cold areas, consisting of an oligomer of a copolymer resin of petroleum resin, polybutene and polyisobutylene. CONSTITUTION:The titled additive for asphalt consists of an oligomer of a copolymer resin of petroleum resin, polybutene and polyisobutylene and has an MW of 12500. This additive has improved resistance to weather (particularly at a low temp.) and water, good adhesion to an aggregate, can be applied safely and economically and does not cause environmental pollution.
