<p>EP--86319 A Confectionery prod. comprises a filling contained by two wafer half-shells which together form a closed shell, the prod. being coated with chocolate. The mating edges of the half-shells are joined together at points or continuously by a deposit of normally solid chocolate. The filling has a creamy consistency at ambient temp., has a water content of not more than 2 wt.%, and is in direct contact with the half-shells. - The shell (1) is pref. spherical with a dia. of 2.5-3 cm. The filling (2) may include a solid edible centre (4), esp. a hazelnut or candied fruit. The chocolate coating (6) may contain pieces or flakes of hazelnut, walnut, coconut or almond. After joining the 2 filled half-shells with molten chocolate (5), the prod. is pref. cooled below ambient temp. (esp. to 10 deg.C) before coating.
