The present invention relates to a gas supply device. This device essentially comprises a pressure reducing device 1 constituted by a box 2 provided with a diaphragm 3 separating this box into two chambers, namely an upper chamber 7 connected by a duct 8 to an air intake port 6 and a lower chamber 4 connected via a duct 5 to this port and containing a valve 9 for stopping off a gas inlet pipe 11, the ends 5a and 8a of the duct 5 and of the duct 8 opening out into the port 6 downstream of a butterfly valve 14 so as to create, on one side of the diaphragm 3, a reference pressure which varies as a function of the degree of opening of the butterfly valve and, on the other side of this diaphragm, a partial vacuum which is a function of this degree of opening in order to meter a gas inlet able to produce an ideal air-gas mixture in the port 6. This device is intended, for example, to form a carburettor for an internal combustion engine. <IMAGE>
