PURPOSE:To correct easily and quickly a character pattern by providing a cursor memory and a mobile pattern memory and extending and reducing a pattern enclosed by a cursor area when said pattern is moved. CONSTITUTION:A character pattern is read out of a floppy disk unit 75 by a CPU72 and stored in a pattern memory 71-a. A cursor area is stored in a cursor memory 71-b. Then a pattern equivalent to the cursor area is segmented from the memory 71-a and shifted to a mobile pattern memory 71-c, and at the same time the segmented pattern is erased out of the memory 71-a. Then the cursor area in the memory 71-b is moved toward the cursor together with the mobile pattern stored in the memory 71-c. In this case, the locus of the character rection on the segmented line is left at the memory 71-a. At the same time, the pattern is extended or reduced. Thus a character pattern can be corrected more easily and quickly, and furthermore the quality is improved for the character pattern. |
