NEW MATERIAL:A compound shown by the formula (R1 is -CH2OH, or -CHO; R2 is H, or -CH3). USE:A plant growth regulator. PREPARATION:Alternaria solani is inoculated into a medium (e.g. medium of decocted juice of potato), cultivated by settled culture at about 25 deg.C for several weeds, a culture filtrate after removal of mold is concentrated, and extracted with chloroform. The extracted solution is fractionated by a packed column (silica gel column), and a compound shown by the formula is obtained from the fraction. |
