PURPOSE:To provide a titled device which can dehydrate efficiently a hydrous material consisting of short fibrous materials entangled with each other by the constitution in which the hydrous material on a filter cloth belt above a backing metal member is held down by a frame-shaped hole-down member via a hold-down filter cloth belt and is compressed by a compression plate lowerd onto said material. CONSTITUTION:A dehydrating device is constituted by disposing a backing metal member 26 having draining grooves 27 and a metallic screen 28 below the horizontal traveling part 24a of an endless filter cloth belt 24 which is formed freely travelable, and providing a compression squeezing mechanism 29 consisting of a frame-shaped hold-down member 30 which moves upward and downward when driven by cylinders 37, 42, and a compression plate 31 provided with draining grooves 40 and a metallic screen 41, above said member. A material (a) to be dehydrated is positioned between said belt 24 and a hold-down filter cloth belt 32 which covers the opening below the member 30 and is set travelably. The member 30 is lowered to press said material via the belt 32. The plate 31 is then lowered to compress the material (a), by which the liquid therein is squeezed out under high pressure. |
