The invention relates to a device which can be fitted to so-called integral (full-face) helmets and which makes it possible to improve the comfort of the wearer, particularly when using a two-wheeled vehicle in bad weather. This device, positioned under the front part of an integral (full-face) helmet 6, comprises a rigid or semi-rigid plate 1 articulated either on the front or on the side of the helmet. Upon closure of this plate, it thus protects the under-chinpiece part and prevents the wind or the rain from seeping into the helmet. This device may be applied, with very few modifications, to most existing integral (full-face) helmets. <IMAGE>
