<p>PURPOSE:To decrease as much as possible the number of markers to be set by arranging plural detecting means into a train form and contriving this arrangement of detecting means. CONSTITUTION:The inverted detecting markers H arranged in a train form are set beside the information markers D arranged also in a train form toward column direction set in parallel putting lengthwise direction in order. In addition, no coincidence is obtained between the genuine and false information of the marker H and those of the marker D. Such markers are set to the guide path of a car with the train direction set vertical to the traveling direction of the car. Then sensors S1-S4 having the same number as the array elements of markers are provided in the same train-shaped array 18 as the trains of markers in order to read the markers. The information on the trains which are read at first and simultaneously by the array 18 during the traveling of the cars is compared with the prescribed information on the markers H. Thus it is decided whether the car is traveling in the forward or reverse direction. Then the genuineness is decided for the information of read markers D. If this information is false, a converting process is carried out to obtain the genuine information.</p> |
