PURPOSE:To reduce the size of a cooling apparatus and save its installation area, and to enable the production of a variety of goods in small amounts, by dividing a fiber bundle cooled at a prescribed temperature into plural fiber bundles with a divider, cutting the divided bundles, and feeding continuously to a fine spinning frame. CONSTITUTION:A fiber bundle 1 having uniformized thickness is supplied to the cooling chamber 7, made to contact with a cooling medium of <=-5 deg.C, and cut with a stretching force applied by the middle roller 3 and the breaking roller 4. The bundle is divided into plural fiber bundles 12 with the cutter 11, sent through the guide 12 to the front roller and adjusted to prescribed weight and staple diagram. The collectability of the sliver is improved by the tube 14, and the bundle is supplied to each spindle of a suction twisting spinning frame 15 through the delivery roller 6 to obtain the spun yarn 16. The speed of the prespinning stage can be changed freely, and a continuous fiber bundle such as tow can be used as a raw material. |
