NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R1 is H or lower alkyl; R2 is H, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy or lower alkenyloxy; R3 is lower alkyl; R4 is lower alkyl or lower alkenyl) and its metallic salt. EXAMPLE:2-[ 1-( Ethoxyimino ) propyl]-3-hydroy-5- [4-( N-methyl-N-propylcarbamoyl)phenyl]-2-cyclohexen-1-one. USE:A herbicide. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting the compound of formula II with a hydroxylamine derivative of formula NH2OR4 in a solvent such as alcohol, benzene, etc., at a temperature between room temperature and the boiling point of the solvent.
