NEW MATERIAL:The compound of formula I (R1 and R2 are H or lower alkyl; R3 is H or methyl; R4 is H, halogen or methyl; R5 and R6 are H, halogen or methyl provided that when R4 is H, R5 and R6 are not H at the same time; n is 1-4). USE:An insecticide. It has juvenile hormone activity and exhibits excellent insecticidal effect against the insects of coleoptera, lepidoptera, hemiptera, orthoptera, diptera, etc. PREPARATION:The compound of formula I can be prepared by reacting the compound of formula II (A1 is halogen, mesyloxy or tosyloxy) with the compound of formula III or its alkali metal salt in a solvent such as dimethylformamide, tetrahydrofuran, etc. preferably in the presence of an acid acceptor (e.g. alkali metal) at a temperature between -30 deg.C and the boiling point of the reaction mixture.
