The invention relates to stomatology. The dentifrice gel forming the subject of the invention is of the type containing a gelling substance, a humidifying substance, a surfactant substance, an aromatic and a substance having caries-inhibitory action containing sodium monofluorophosphate, and is characterised in that it contains 1.7 to 11% by weight of a substance having caries-inhibitory action consisting of a mixture of sodium monofluorophosphate with a product obtained by treatment of bone tissue with a dilute inorganic acid until the inorganic constituents and the water-soluble proteins and hydrolysis products thereof contained in the aforementioned bone tissue have been removed completely, by separation of the solution obtained, by its dilution with water with addition of a stabiliser such as citric acid or a salt of the latter, and by subsequent neutralisation of the solution and drying, and containing the following constituents (% by weight): calcium, 2 to 6; sodium, 19 to 23; potassium, 0.04 to 0.18; inorganic acid anion (chloride), 6 to 10.6; orthophosphoric acid anion, 1.5 to 5.0; water-soluble proteins and hydrolysis products thereof, 1.0 to 5.0; magnesium, 0.05 to 0.2; group of trace elements including fluorine, manganese, tin, zinc and iron, 0.01 to 0.02; complex citrate compounds, calculated as citric acid anion, q.s. 100%. The dentifrice in question may be used, in particular, for the daily hygiene of the buccal cavity, as well as to exert an anti-inflammatory action in disorders of the periodontium, and in particular in periodontosis.
