PURPOSE:To obtain a reagent which is highly sensitive to a wide range of antigens and antibodies while enabling an immunological inspection for a short period of time through an agglutination, by sensitizing an immunologically active substance on a particle of a polymer or a copolymer of a specified monomer as carrier. CONSTITUTION:A wide range of antibodies (antigens) such as microorganisms, tissue antigens, hormones, enzyme and morbid proteins are sensitized on a particle (with the range of particle size of preferably 0.05-2mum) of a homopolymer or a copolymer with other monomers of e.g., monofluorophenyl (meth) acrylate of the formula (where R<1> and R<2> are each H or alkyl, R<3> is a 2-3C straight-chain or branched alkylene which, may be substituted by OH, X is halogen, m is 0-10 and n is 1-5) to form an immobilized immunological reagent. The reaction of a reagent containing a corresponding antigen (antibody) upon the reagent thus obtained makes it possible to conduct an immunological judgement in a shorter period and with a higher sensitivity than conventional immobilized reagents. |
