PURPOSE:To easily separate different ion-exchange fibers from each other for reusing them after being regenerated, by treating a mixed body comprising used different ion-exchange fibers in an electrolyte solution. CONSTITUTION:A fibrous mixed body comprising cation- and anion-exchange fibers, etc. used in the water condensation system of a power plant is agitated in an electrolyte solution and left standing as such to separate them from each other by the difference of specific gravity. A strong acid, strong alkali, a water- soluble salt of these mixture is used as said electrolyte solution, and its concentration is ordinarily held in the range of from 1W/V% to saturation. By this method, the separation of a mixed body comprising a cation-exchange fiber having a sulfonic group, an anion-exchange fiber having a quaternary ammonium group, etc. can be efficiently performed. |
