The essential machines of the bottle processing system are a washing machine, an inspection unit (5), a filling machine (17) and a labelling machine which are connected with one another by means of intermediate conveyors. The bottles (1) are conveyed through the inspection unit (5) and the filling machine (17) by means of rotational conveyors (6-8; 18), the electrical drive motors (11, 19) for the rotational conveyors being provided with speed regulation in dependence on the flow of bottles. Correlation of the output of the inspection unit (5) and filling machine (17) is by means of regulation of the operating speed of the rotational conveyors (6-8) of the inspection unit (5) and the rotation conveyor (18) of the filling machine (17) in dependence on the differential bottle flow gd, which is produced by subtraction of the bottle flows gf in the inlet (20) of the filling machine (17) and the defective-bottle flow gs from the bottle flow gi in the inlet (21) of the inspection unit (5), and in dependence on the position of the impact point s, where the bottles (1) leaving the inspection unit (5) at a distance from one another join the store of bottles inside a regulating section (x) between the inspection unit (5) and filling machine (17). <IMAGE>
