<p>An oil field lease management and security system (100) and method for monitoring oil field equipment and for communicating with authorized operators. The system (100) of the present invention includes a plurality of transducers (360, 370, 380, 381, 520, 740) connected to the equipment (10, 20, 30) for sensing operational parameters of the equipment (10, 20, 30) such as fluid levels in oil field storage tanks (10), a plurality of controllers (17, 550) connected to the equipment (10, 20, 30) for controlling operational components of the equipment (10, 20, 30) such as determining when an oil tank (10) is filled and activating a shut-off valve (17) to prevent further filling of the tank (10), a communication access panel (1710) for allowing an authorized operator to interface with the system (100), and a monitoring system (50) interconnected with the transducers (360, 370, 380, 520, 740), the controllers (17, 550), and the communication access panel (1710) for periodically monotoring each of the transducers (360, 370, 380, 520, 740) and the communication access panel (1710). </p> |
