PURPOSE:To lock a search mode of picture search or the like as required by providing a means, which detects that a reproducing operation key and a rewinding operation key are operated simultaneously in the reproducing state, and a means which locks a cue or review state in accordance with this detection. CONSTITUTION:When an FF or an REW key is operated in the state of a stop mode, the FF or REW mode is executed. When a PB key is operated similarly, the PB mode is executed; and when the PB key and the FF key or the REW key are operated simultaneously, the cue or review mode (picture search mode) is executed. When the PB key and the FF key are operated simultaneously in the reproducing state, the cue mode is locked, and a video tape recorder is switched to the lock mode of picture search. When the PB key is operated again in this state, the lock mode of picture search is released to switch the tape recorder to the PB mode. Similarly, when the PB key and the REW key are operated simultaneously, the REV mode is locked. |
