To provide oscillation-proof trough guidance in circulating carriers of documents and other items, steering levers with track rollers which run in guideways (all-round guides) are used. Steering levers, which are inclined (approximately 45 DEG ), have hitherto mostly been used either on one side or, for better protection, on both sides in designs. Designs are also known which use a vertically arranged steering lever with a track roller respectively above and below the centre of rotation. A double guide path in the arcs of the circle is, however, required for a design of this sort. Line crossings necessitate openings or distributors which can give rise to malfunctions. To achieve a simple, safe solution the design submitted for patent is chosen, which uses a vertically downward pointing steering lever for oscillation protection, on whose lower end a sufficiently long horizontally arranged sliding lever is mounted near the track roller. The length of the sliding lever only has to cover a short section of the path in the region of the apexes (at the tops and bottoms of the arcs) when the track roller in this region is outside the guideway. Not so much during normal passage, but only when the cabinet is approached can the trough be twisted due to centrifugal force, with simultaneous loading on one side and a great deal of play in the guideway, in such a way that ...
