发明名称 DOUBLE AZIMUTH MAGNETIC HEAD
摘要 PURPOSE:To obtain a magnetic head which has a low magnetic resistance and is difficult to generate the crosstalk and is superior in mass productivity by providing a nonmagnetic layer having a predeterminate width along the center line of an alloy magnetic film for a center core so that this magnetic film is divided into two and dividing magnetic circuits of the first and the second gaps. CONSTITUTION:An alloy magnetic film 12 formed on a nonmagnetic substrate 91 is cut to form alloy magnetic films 11 and 21 for side cores which have slopes 61 and 71 which are inclined to the surface of the substrate 91 at an angle alpha (acute angle). A nonmagnetic thin film 72 for prescribing gaps is formed on surfaces of magnetic films 11 and 21 and the exposed surface of the substrate 91. An alloy magnetic film 23 is formed on the thin film 72 so that recessed parts formed by slopes 61 and 71 are filled up, thus forming gaps 60 and 70. The part of the magnetic film 23 other than the part with which recessed parts are filled up is eliminated. A space having a predeterminate width is formed along the center line of recessed parts by cutting or the like so that said alloy magnetic film 23 is divided into two, and a nonmagnetic material is packed in this space. Thus, alloy magnetic films 13a and 13b for center core and a nonmagnetic layer 51 are formed, and a nonmagnetic plate 92 is stuck, and the sliding face is polished, thus completing the magnetic head.
