<p>Rubber crumb is subjected to direct reclaiming by being mixed with a plasticizer and optionally also a peptizer and, under agitation and supply of a gas atmosphere with controlled oxygen content and at a temperature of 130-200<o>C, heated at substantially atmospheric pressure to cause the rubber particles to react with oxygen and absorb < 10, preferably 0.5-5 litres of O2/kg of rubber particles.</p> |
