APPARATUS FOR CONTROLLING AC ELEVATOR

An apparatus for controlling an AC elevator, in which the frequency of AC power applied to an induction motor for driving the AC elevator is varied by a frequency converter, is improved so that it is possible to provide low-speed operation without employing the frequency converter. The output frequency of the frequency converter at the rated speed of the elevator is preset at a frequency which is higher than the frequency of the AC power, and the AC power is applied directly to the induction motor in the low-speed operation without any frequency conversion.
