PURPOSE:To enable the measurement of water depth with an electronic wrist watch by forming a capacitor with a back cover with the number of grooves communicating with water passing holes provided on a back cover or the like and an electrode facing it through an insulator. CONSTITUTION:Water passing holes 3 on a back cover 2 communicate ring- shaped grooves 4. The part of a back cover 2 forming these grooves 4 and an electrode 6 facing this part through an insulator 7 forms a capacitor and the electrostatic capacity thereof varies with changes in the distance of the surface forming the capacitor corresponding to a pressure according to the water depth. The variation in the electrostatic capacity is detected as parallel capacity change through a connector in which a conductive section 11 and an insulation section 12 are arranged alternately in contact with an electrode 5 and the water depth is measured with an electronic wrist watch. |
