PURPOSE:A high-pressure additive that contains, as an active ingredient, a salt obtained by neutralization of a chlorinated or sulfonated higher fatty acid or its ester with a basic substance, thus being soluble in water or self-emulfiable and showing good high-pressure performance. CONSTITUTION:The objective high-pressure additive contains, as an active ingredient, a salt obtaoned by neutralization of (A) a chlorinated or suflonated higher fatty acid or its ester, preferably a long-chain fatty acid of 12 or more carbon atmos such as lauric acid or tallow fatty acids or its ester with an alcohol such as methanol with (B) a basic compound such as alkali hydroxide or ammonia. The additive preferably contains 1-10% of epoxidized oil such as epoxidized butyl stearate as a stabilizer. |
