A bowl for an industrial, dough kneading machine for the mfr. of biscuit and other pastry prods. The bowl has a base attached to the bowl body by a horizontal pivot outside the bowl. The base can be swung open outwards like a trap door. When closed, the base pressed home against a seating on the body. Pref. the base has a top rim of inverted 'V' cross-section which sinks into a rubber sealing ring fitted in an annular groove in the bowl body.
