PURPOSE:To provide an intermediate raw material for molding, capable of reducing the weight of the molded article without lowering the property, and composed of a prepreg reinforced with uniaxially aligned fiber, and an extremely thin cloth composed of organic polymer fibers and glass yarns. CONSTITUTION:The objective intermediate material for molding is composed of (A) a prepreg reinforced with uniaxially aligned fiber (e.g. prepreg containing carbon fiber, boron fiber, etc. as reinforcing material and epoxy resin, unsaturated polyester resin, etc. as matrix) and (B) an extremely thin cloth preferably made of organic polymer fibers (e.g. polyester fiber, nylon fiber) as the warp and glass yarns as the weft. EFFECT:The weight of the molded article can be decreased by >=10g/m<2>. USE:Golf club shaft, fishing rod, and racket frame.
