PURPOSE:To detect a specific pattern with a small quantity of hardware regardless of length by providing one exclusive OR circuit, two FF circuits, specific pattern generating circuit, parallel-series converting circuit, and timing generating circuit. CONSTITUTION:When an input serial signal arrives at an input terminal IN, the exclusive OR circuit 3 makes a bit-by-bit comparison between the input signal and the signal of the specific pattern converted by the parallel-series converting circuit 5. When the comparison between the fianl bits is completed, the timing generating circuit 8 sends a latch signal to an FF7. The FF7 decides on whether the specific pattern is detected or not. An FF6 is reset by the output signal of the circuit 3 when a bit in dissident pattern is detected in the middle of the generation period of the specific pattern. In this case, the FF7 outputs zero to an output terminal OUT. When it is decided that the bit in coincident pattern is detected, 1 is outputted. |
