PURPOSE:A dental filler having high strength obtained by blending cement with fibrous thin pieces having high strength or the fibrous thin pieces and thin pieces of magnetic material, capable of being packed with easy operation while keeping a direction property constant by applying magnetic field to the filler during blending of the magnetic material. CONSTITUTION:A dental filler obtained by blending cement with 3-30wt% (preferably 5-20wt%) fibrous thin pieces or it and thin pieces of magnetic material. This pieces of nylon, cupro, cellulose fiber, carbon fiber, inorganic fiber such as boron nitride, silicon carbide, etc. can be used as the fibrous thin pieces. Powdery or granular pieces of permanent magnet is used as the magnetic material, and magnetic material made of amorphous alloy is effective because it has high strength, improved wear resistance, and corrosion resistance. The above- mentioned cement provides not only simple improvement of strength, but also good action on root of a tooth and gum. Use of dentifrice containing powder of magnetic material or toothpaste of magnet increases effect.
