<p>The apparatus comprises: a casing consisting of two symmetrical housings (10-10') between which the strip (B) provided with a base coating deposited by dipping travels continuously; slots or groups of blowing orifices (16-16') arranged in the said casing in order to blow in a metal additive powder in suspension in a gas jet onto the surface of the strip provided with the base coating, a recirculation fan (14) feeding the said slots or groups of blowing orifices; slots or groups of uptake orifices (18,18') provided in the said casing to collect the gas still carrying metal powder, in order to direct it towards the suction of the recirculating fan, where a means of metering (24,26) adds the necessary quantity of metal powder which is to be blown onto the strip, and an aerodynamic seal (28-28') provided at each end of the casing to prevent the recirculated gas carrying metal powder from escaping out. <IMAGE></p> |
