Improvements in and Relating to Levelling a Subsea Template

The invention provides a method of levelling a subsea template 56 which includes the step of using a heave compensator 85 dependant from a semi-submersible to adjust the height of the template relative to a fixed pile 92. It is preferred that there is a rotary rig equipment assembly (e.g. a drill string or drill pipe) extending downwardly from the heave compensator, and the drill string is used to adjust the height of the template.
