PURPOSE:To obtain novel Escherichia coli capable of producing a heat-resistant leucine dehydrogenase having heat stability, not losing activity for a long time at room temperature. CONSTITUTION:Novel Escherichia coli C600-pICR1 strain (FERM P 6937) transformed with a plasmid having a gene of leucine dehydrogenase derived from chromosome of a thermophilic bacterium, preferably a bacterium belonging to the genus Bacillus stearothermophilus, capable of producing heat-resistant leucine dehydrogenase. |
