发明名称 OPTOMAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM
摘要 PURPOSE:To form a magnetic recording medium with which a reproduced signal fluctuates less without decreasing an SN ratio by providing a reflection layer for laser light for reproduction between a recording layer and a transfer layer. CONSTITUTION:Laser light A for writing is condensed and made incident from an antireflection layer 6 by a lens to a recording layer 2 through the layer 6. The light A is absorbed in the layer 2 and is converted to heat energy, then the direction of a magnetic domain is inverted by an ambient magnetic field or external bias magnetic field and information is recorded. When the signal information is written by the direction of the magnetic domain in the highly sensitized layer 2, the direction of the magnetic domain in a transfer layer 3 is conformed to the direction of the magnetic domain in the layer 2 by the influence of a magnetic field loop B, by which the written information signal is transferred. Laser light C for reading out and reproduction is condensed from a substrate 1 side by a lens into a spot shape and is imaged on the layer 3. The layer 3 has a high Curie temp. and is not incorporated with the constitution for improving sensitivity and therefore the light C having substantially strong power can be applied thereto. The light C is reflected by the layer 4 and the much larger rotating angle in the plane of polarization is obtd. by the synergistic effect of the Kerr effect and Faraday effect.
