PURPOSE:To prolong the service life and to improve the reliability of operation of an engine controlling apparatus, by eliminating sliding contact parts by using a variable inductance as a converter for converting the depth of depression of an accelerator into an electric signal, and constituting an oscillation circuit by use of the variable inductance. CONSTITUTION:A sensor coil 8 is connected to an accelerator pedal 7, and the coil 8 is also connected to a circuit 10 consisting mainly of an operational amplifier 9. The sensor coil 8 and the circuit 10 constitute an LR oscillation circuit for obtaining an oscillation signal the frequency of which is varied according to the depth of depression of the accelerator pedal. The output signal S1 of said LR oscillation circuit is afforded to a frequency measuring circuit 13, and a binary digital data D1 obtained in the circuit 13 is converted into an accelerator data D2 in a data processing circuit 14 and then furnished to a control unit 4. With such an arrangement, the speed of rotation of a diesel engine 2 is controlled by the control unit 4 by controlling a fuel control member in a fuel injection pump 3 according to the speed signal N, water-temperature signal T and accelerator data D2. |
