PURPOSE:To add a molten additive with high accuracy to a molten iron by inserting an inverted U-shaped hollow member into the molten additive in a hermetic vessel and pressurizing the molten additive thereby feeding a prescribed amt. of the molten additive via the hollow member into the molten iron. CONSTITUTION:A molten additive 2 is preliminarily contained and held in a hermetic vessel 1 and the target amt. A of the additive 2 to be added is set in a control means.
