PURPOSE:To improve the stationary position accuracy of a stepping motor by forming the difference of width pitch on air gap radius of opposed stator poles and rotor pole teeth equally to that of the arranging pitch of the rotor and stator pole teeth. CONSTITUTION:Stator poles 1-1-1-8 are implanted at an equal pitch to a yoke 1 of a stator. Stator windings 2-1-2-8 are respectively wound on the poles. Pole teeth 3-1-3-10 are formed on the outer periphery of a rotor 3. The poles 1-1- 1-8 and pole teeth 3-1-3-10 are opposed via air gaps 4. The difference of the width pitch Ws2 in the air gap radius at the ends of the poles 1-1-1-8 and the width pitch Wr2 in the air gap radius of the pole teeth 3-1-3-10 is set equal to the difference of the arranging pitch x2 of the poles 1-1-1-8 and the arranging pitch y2 of the pole teeth 3-1-3-10. In this manner, the stationary position accuracy of the case of 2-phase excitation can be improved. |
