PURPOSE:To obtain a faucet which can be promptly and surely opened and closed, by arranging a slide plate, which provides a water stop part and a water discharge opening, slidably in the direction crossing at a right angle with the flow direction of water in a case secured to a supply water pipe. CONSTITUTION:A water discharge opening 4 and a water stopping small hole 3 are respectively formed penetrating vertically through a slide plate 2. Lowering a handling lever 5 under the condition such that a faucet is opened, if the slide plate 2 is moved backward, water is discharged, while lifting the handling lever 5, and the slide plate is moved forward, the water is stopped. Further the slide plate 2, can be always accurately moved by fitting a ball member 40 into a hollow part 27 in these discharge and stop position of water. |
