摘要 PURPOSE:To hold a cop easily without damaging it by forming an article-holding head, which is provided at the tip of an elevator arm, into a cylindrical insertion-head, which is inserted into the core tube of the cop and by providing the head with a pressure-contact holding device. CONSTITUTION:The holding head 11 for a transferring robot consists of a cylinder 29, which is supported within a housing 27, a cylindrical insertion head 31, which is connected indirectly to the end of a rod 29a of the cylinder 29, and a pressure-contact holding device 32, which is installed on the tip of the rod 29a. When the cylinder 29 is extended, the head 31 is inserted into the core tube 33 of a cop 3. And when the cop 3 is picked up through the next procedure, the cop 3 is held in a manner of pressure contact from the inside by the force acting outward imposed by a pressure touching member 34 of the pressure-contact holding device 32. The pressure-contact holding device 32 consists of a rocking member 41, which is pivotally linked 39 to a supporting block 38 fixed at the tip of the rod 29a, and links 42 and 43, which couple both members 38 and 41 together, and the pressure touching member 34 is fixed to the outside of both rocking member 41 and link 43.
