PURPOSE:To shorten a transient state and to reduce the variation of a recording picture by providing the titled deveice with a means heating an electrophotographic photosensitive body when the temperature T of said photosensitive body is T<T1 and cooling the photosensitive body when T>=T2>=T1. CONSTITUTION:The recording device is provided with a heating source 6A in its inside and a roll-like intermediate transfer body 6 contacted against a photosensitive drum 1 and rotated to transfer a toner image. The toner image transferred by the intermediate transfer body 6 is transferred to a recordong body P and melted by heat from the heating sources 6A, 7A. Since the means cooling the photosensitive drum 1 when the temperature T of the photosensitive drum 1 is lower than a prescribed temperature T1, i.e. T<T1, and the intermediate transfer body 6, which is a heating means, and the temperature T are higher than the prescribed temperature T2 higher than the T1, i.e. T>T2>=T1, is formed, the transient state is shortened and the variation of a recording picture can be reduced. |
