<p>PURPOSE:To exchange heat with water directly and efficiently by the wide area of heat exhcnage, to heat-insulate a surface-shaped heater from a hot water tank and to eliminate the need for the manufacture of the hot water tank by a heat- insulating material by receiving the surface-shaped heater in the hot water tank and floating the heater by a heat-insulating projection. CONSTITUTION:With a surface-shaped heater 3, an automatic return type thermostat 4 set at 70 deg.C is mounted to one electrode of a 300W surface-shaped heating element 10, a temperature fuse 11 of a blowout temperature of 120 deg.C is fitted to the other electrode, and the whole is enclosed in a multilayer pasted epoxy resin impregnated glass cloth layer 12, insulated and coated, and waterproofed. The surface-shaped heater 3 is received in a hot water tank 1, placed on the projections 2 of the bottom, and floated from the bottom without being brought into contact with the hot water tank 1. When a temperature abnormally rises due to no-water heating, the temperature rise is detected instantaneously by the thermostat 4 and currents to the surface-shaped heater 3 are interrupted, and the disconnection of the surface-shaped heater 3 is prevented, but the temperature fuse 11 is blown out in consideration of safety against an emergent fire on a steep temperature rise.</p> |
