PURPOSE:To remove the pressure variation of the air layer in ink, by a method wherein a pipe having a fine inner diameter communicated with the atmosphere is provided to the ink container in a hermetically closed system other than a nozzle to form a false hermetically closed system which is, in turn, mounted to an ink jet recording apparatus. CONSTITUTION:A fine glass tube 12 having a fine inner diameter communicated with the atmosphere is provided to a sub-ink container 6. This fine glass tube 12 is inserted into the sub-ink container 6 at one end thereof and the other end thereof is extended toward a platen 5 similarily as a nozzle 1 to be projected so as to be flushed with the leading end of the nozzle 1. In addition, the end part of the fine glass tube 12 in the container 6 is suitably provided below the upper wall of the container 6 so as be spaced apart therefrom over 1mm. or more. The fine glass tube 12 has an inner diameter of 50-500mum and the length thereof is pref. 20mm. or more. By the aforementioned apparatus, the pressure variation in the ink container caused by temp. change is absorbed and a good printing state can be held. |
