PURPOSE:To prevent the occurrence of wrong shift as a result of a thread slippling down along the end face, by installing a guide plate which, when a bobbin is full of a thread, controls said thread so that it is positioned within a traverse range, and controls a thread on the empty bobbin side so that it is located in a peripheral groove position for grasping the thread. CONSTITUTION:When winding of a thread around a bottin B' is completed and the bobbin is full of the thread, the thread, which, at the beginning, runs from a traverse guide 4 to the package surface of a holder 15 through a friction roller 6, is disengaged from the traverse guide 4 and is caught by and engaged with a shifter guide to be transferred to a position located opposite to a peripheral groove S in an empty bobbin. Thereby, it is moved in a manner to slide over a roller 6, an empty bobbin B, and a guide plate 17, it is firstly caught in a notch 23 in the guide plate 17 to prevent movement of a package to the outside of a traverse range, it is then caught in a notch 22 in the plate 17, it, in turn, is moved right above the peripheral groove S with the cooperative aid of a guide 7, and it is grasped in the peripheral groove S. The difference in a peripheral speed between the package and a bobbin causes the thread to be pulled and broken off and wound around the empty bobbin, and this prevents the occurrence of wrong shift. |
