PURPOSE:To improve the response as humidity measuring device by forming a high molecular film with the free surface energy below the specified value on the internal wall surface of a humidity measuring cell covering it to ensure a quick gas replacement suppressing the absorption of water molecules even when the sample is changed. CONSTITUTION:A high molecular film herein used must be below -50erg.cm<2> in the free surface energy. When it exceeds this value, it is not proper because its hydrophilic property is enhanced too much to suppress the absorption water molecules in substance. A constant humidity gas flows to a humidity measuring cell thus obtained from a sample introduction tube and then, a zero gas flows on the same condition. The response in this case and the case of reversing the procedure are as shown by curves A and B respectively. |
