PURPOSE:To cut a plastic liquid-crystal display element with a burr-free beautiful surface by employing half-cutting and reverse half-cutting by blades in combination. CONSTITUTION:Several slits matching with the cutting width of a product are worked in numbers of upper substrates 1. Further, half-cutting 4 is performed. Square holes 6 are punched numbers of substrates 5 at terminal parts of the product and half-cutting 4 is carried out similarly to the substrates 1. The substrates 1 and 5 form an assembly substrate 7 with a printed seal adhesive. The substrate is divided to the size of the product by upper and lower blades 8 and 9 which face each other from outside of the parts of half-cutting 4 of the substrates 1 and 5. Cutting-edges of the blades 8 and 9 only reach the areas of half-cutting 4, so the substrate is divided only by being cut slightly from the surface. Therefore, it is not necessary to apply extremely external force to the blades 8 and 9 and neither a decrease in the strength of the seal agent nor peeling is caused. |
