PURPOSE:To improve the joining intensity of an X-ray image tube by interposing an annular clad member consisting of aluminum and a stainless steel between an aluminum window plate and an annular Kovar member which is fused to the end of an encircling glass case. CONSTITUTION:In an X-ray image tube, an annular clad member 4 formed by vertically joining an aluminum member 5 and a stainless steel mamber 6 by diffusion welding or something similar is placed between a window plate 11 and an annular Kovar member 3' fused to the end of a cylindrical encircling case 2 made of hard glass; the window plate 11 is prepared by forming a hard aluminum alloy plate into a concave-surface-like shape and has a lug 12. After that, TIG welding or something similar is performed between the lug 12 of the window plate 11 and the aluminum member 5 as well as between the annular Kovar member 3' and the stainless steel member 6 so as to join them. Such joining of metals of the same kind can be performed under the condition of ordinary temperature. Besides, it can increase the joining intensity and can widely improve the workability. |
