PURPOSE:To prevent assuredly the shift of a magnetic tape when the tape is unloaded by using an existing reel drive disk braking device also to a braking device which prevents the shift of the tape toward a take-up reel when the tape is unloaded. CONSTITUTION:The driving torque of a reel driving motor 10 is set in reliance on a slight loss torque produced by the weak braking power of a reel drive disk 7. Therefore the disk 7 can be smoothly revolved, and an unloaded magnetic tape 2 can be taken up to a reel 25. The drive of the disk 7 due to the function of a reel driving motor 10 is released by a proper means after the tape 2 drawn out a cassette 1 is completely taken up to the reel 25. Thus the unloading is over with the tape 2. In such a way, an existing reel drive disk controller is used also to a braking device for shift prevention of the tape 2 when it is unloaded. As a result, an undesired tape shift can be avoided with actuation of the braking device when the tape is unloaded as well as when the rewinding of the tape is stopped. |
