PURPOSE:To increase the productivity of a cell and improve its finished appearance by preparing an exterior member to be installed on the outer surface of an elementary cell from a thermocontractile resin film having an adhesive layer on its one surface and a print layer on the other surface. CONSTITUTION:A film-like exterior member 1 to be installed on the outer surface of a zinc can 2 used as the case of a dry cell or the like of a single 4 type, is made by forming an adhesive layer 1b on one surface of a thermocontractile resin film 1a and forming a print layer 1c on the other surface. The film-like exterior member 1 is installed by sticking it on the outer surface of an elementary cell before heating the member 1 so as to contract it. As a result, since there is no need to form the member 1 into tube-like form beforehand, the sticking can be easily automatized and the productivity can be increased. Besides, since there is no need to increase the thermocontractility, an improved finished appearance can be obtained and influence on the print layer 1c can be decreased. |
