PURPOSE:To generate easily a program by providing a code, which commands saving and restoring of contents of a microprogram register and a code which commands the availability of this code for every register in accordance with every bit and saving and restoring contents between other storage register means. CONSTITUTION:Bits 0-7 of each field of a microprogram indicate a mode command to the operation of a microprogram instruction, and bits 8-15 indicate an extension operation command; and when the operation mode commands saving or restoring, the extension operation command commands whether contents of each microprogram register should be saved or restored in accordance with every bit. Contents of a microprogram storage means 20 are stored in a register 30, and the output of the register 30 and a gate 60 for saving are made effective in accordance with bits, which are set to ''1'', out of bits 8-15 in case of the saving operation mode, and contents of a corresponding register 90 are saved in a register 70.
