PURPOSE:To perform the real-time reduction and enlargement of picture data sent through a circuit by processing digitally the picture signal consisting of serial data. CONSTITUTION:The figure shows a CPU (arithmetic part) 1 which carries out arithmetic for reduction and enlargement and an RAM 2 wherein picture element data before and after conversion are stored. A word counter 27 and an address counter 37 are set to zero by a one-line recording start signal 23. A line picture element signal is inputted to an SIPO shift register 31 while shifted, bit by bit, as parallel data 32. The data 32 in the SIPO shift register 31 is stored in a memory 35 at an address indicated by the address counter 37. When the contents of the memory 35 are all transferred to the RAM 2, a DMA controller 7 stops operation. Those operations are performed repeatedly to reduce or enlarge a picture. The figure an example of picture conversion with a picture enlargement ratio 3/4. Namely, this is the conversion of a picture (3X3) to a picture (4X4). In this case, the conversion is performed, line by line, and data on the 1st line is data on the 1st line after the conversion. Data on the 2nd line is data on the 2nd and the 3rd lines after the conversion. Data on the 2nd and the 3rd lines is the same data. Data on the 3rd line before the conversion is data on the 4-th line after the conversion. |
