PURPOSE:To perform destaticization which is stable for a long period and to prevent the generation of an offset by cutting an array of tips of a conductive needlelike member nearly in parallel to a roller surface and putting all tip parts closely to the surface. CONSTITUTION:A destaticization device B which does not contact the roller surface has a grounded support part 8 and a conductive needlelike member 7 and is provided on the discharge side of the press-contacting part of rollers 1 and 2 for normal paper P. The array of tips of the member 7 are cut nearly in parallel to the roller surface and put closely to the roller surface. For example, the tip part C is positioned the side where theta=40 deg., the distance between the roller surface and tip part C is nearly constant and d=1.5mm., and the tip is approximately parallel. In this case, the amount of offset toner is 0.21% and the surface potential of the roller 2 is nearly halved to -1,900V. The tip part C is provided preferably near the press contacting part of the couple of rollers. |
