The optical system is an interchangeable objective, or the main constituent of an apparatus, the device of which may comprise a spherical casing 1, a shutter 2, a plane film housing 3, a telescopic conduit 4, a locking tube 5, and a retention ring 6. A plano-convex lens, together with its lens shield 7, is provided on an axial surface and, inside, a crystal sphere 8 is followed by a plano-concave lens 9 and an additional magnifying glass 10 and a viewing window 11. The assembly is completed by a threaded rod with knurled wheels 12 for fixing and adjusting; it is supported by a crosspiece 13 with, underneath, a clamping screw 14 and a locking device 15. The optical system according to the invention is particularly intended for obtaining a photographic image with a wide-angle view, free of distortions and giving an impression of three-dimensionality (relief), and for extending its application into the visual and audiovisual fields. <IMAGE>
