PURPOSE:To have easy installation of a unit injector to the cylinder head by furnishing the injector with a motor to drive a plunger. CONSTITUTION:A unit injector 10 includes a stepping motor 27 to rotate a plunger 19, and a cocked belt 25 is set between a plunger pinion 25 coupled by spline with this plunger 19 and a drive pinion 26 of said stepping motor 27 so as to transmit the power on the drive pinion side 26 to the plunger pinion 25, whereby the relative location of a slant lead 22 with a feed port 21 is changed to provide control of the fuel injection timing. A tensioner 40 consists of a tension roll 41 and an adjustable roll 43, and the phase of drive pinion 26 to the plunger pinion 25 is changed by shifting this adjustable roll 43. |
